Alliance Program

Approved Consumer Quantum AI Guardrail

Telling people to "be careful" is not protection. The Alliance identifies consumer tools that meet a technical bar for real, verifiable control — and then pays for them, so cost is not what stands between a family and their own safety.

The standard we apply

A tool earns Alliance approval only if a non-expert can do all five of these, on their own device, without trusting a vendor's word:

RequirementWhy it is required
See everything. Every AI agent, bot, and scheduled process on the device is listed with what it does and who made it.You cannot govern what you cannot see. Invisible automation is the root condition of every advisory on this site.
Default-deny. Anything new is held and does nothing until the owner reviews it.Refusal must not depend on recognizing the threat first. Unknown means stopped, not allowed.
Verify by mathematics, not by claim. Credentials are checked cryptographically; forged papers fail on the math.A tool that grades itself proves nothing.
Expire by construction. Authority is time-limited and sealed, so a tampered clock ends the agent instead of extending it.Permission that never expires is permission you can never withdraw.
Keep a record the owner can check offline. Activity is sealed so alteration is detectable without contacting anyone.Evidence should not require the vendor's cooperation.

The word quantum in this program's name is not decoration: approved tools must use integrity and signing strong enough to remain meaningful against quantum-capable adversaries, and must state honestly which parts are post-quantum today and which are on a migration path.

Abjurer™ — Quantum AI Safety for consumer devices

Abjurer's Agent Index lists every agent and bot on a device, quarantines anything new until the owner approves it, verifies credentials cryptographically, enforces sealed and expiring agent lifespans, and keeps an activity record the owner can verify offline. Made by Atom Works, Inc. Patents pending.

Free-for-life accounts — who qualifies

The Alliance underwrites the full cost of approved protection for the people we think should never have to weigh it against a household budget:

What you get: the full control tier at no charge, for the life of your eligible email status, plus the creation tier at half price if you want it. How it works: submit the qualifying address, click the confirmation link we send to it, and you are accepted automatically — no documents, no committee, no waiting on a human. We ask you to re-confirm by the same one-click method about once a year.

If you are under 18: a parent or guardian attests first. You give us their email, we write to them once, and nothing activates unless they reply with their approval. If they decline or do not reply, nothing activates and the addresses are deleted.

Duration, stated plainly. The benefit lasts for the shorter of (i) the period your qualifying email stays current and passes re-confirmation, and (ii) the period ending on a significant change affecting the program or its funding — a sale of the business or product line, a change of control, bankruptcy, or discontinuation of the program. If it ends, you may continue at ordinary prices, and nothing already recorded on your device is affected.

Supporters & how approval works

The Alliance's programs are made possible by its supporters. Our founding supporter is Atom Works, Inc., maker of Abjurer™, which underwrites the free-for-life memberships described above. We say so plainly, because a reader weighing our approval is entitled to know who stands behind the program.

What that buys, and what it does not: the standard above is published in full and applied equally to every product; competing tools that meet it are eligible and will be listed; approvals are reviewed at least annually and can be withdrawn; supporters have no editorial control over our advisories or the public record; and every advisory names free actions before it names any paid product.

Approval is a documented opinion measured against a published standard — not a certification, license, or warranty, and not an endorsement by any public body. The Alliance is an independent not-for-profit organization; it is not a government agency. Full detail in the Disclaimers & Disclosures.
